What Affects the Cost of a Wall Wrap?
"How much is a wall wrap?" is the first question almost everyone asks. The honest answer is that it depends on the wall. Two walls the same size can be priced very differently.
Here's what actually goes into a wall wrap quote, so you know what to expect and how to get an accurate number quickly.
1. Size
Bigger walls take more material, more printing, and more install time. Rough width and height are the starting point for any quote.
2. Surface
This is the factor people don't expect. Smooth, painted drywall is the simplest surface to wrap. Painted concrete block, brick, heavy texture, and some specialty paints can need a different film, extra prep, or a different install method.
Fresh paint also matters. It needs to fully cure before a wrap goes on, which can affect scheduling.
3. Design
Do you have print-ready artwork, or does the design need to be created? Artwork built from your logos, colors, and photos takes design time. Files that need to be rebuilt or resized for large format do too.
4. Film and finish
Different projects call for different materials:
- Removable film for walls that will change
- Longer-term film for walls meant to stay up
- Laminate for high-traffic areas like hallways, gyms, and restaurants
- Specialty films for textured surfaces
5. Access and schedule
Ceiling height, stairwells, furniture, and building rules all affect install time. So does timing: work scheduled around school hours, store hours, or building restrictions needs more planning.
6. Number of walls
Wrapping several walls in one project is usually more efficient than doing them one at a time, since design, production, and install can be planned together.
